Dinosaur Trackways for Sale.  While dinosaur tracks are technically not a fossil, they are very desirable addition to any dinosaur collection.

Dinosaur Tracks are formed when the dinosaur stepped onto the ground and compressed the sand, soil or mud enough to leave a solid impression left due to the weight of the animal.

These tracks need to have been laid down by the animal and then baked hard by the sun before they were eroded away by wind or rain.

Over millions of years minerals permeated the compacted tracks and turned them into stone.  Dinosaur tracks and trackways are called trace fossils.
