- This RARE specimen measures approx. 2.75″ long between the tips of the arms. Overall size of the plate is approx. 9″ wide. This plate was broken during recovery and has been repaired.

Riedaster is an extinct species of starfish. They lived during the Jurassic Period. At this time the world famous Archaeopteryx also lived. Unlike the more common brittle stars, this is a TRUE starfish.
