- This is a scale from the body of this RARE “Worm Lizard” that measures approx. 3/16″ long and will come in the 1.25″ gem jar as shown. Fossils from this legless lizard are EXTREMELY RARE
Rhineura is a member of Amphisbaenia, a group of reptiles which comprises the worm lizards… a lineage (160 species) of mostly limbless burrowing squamates. The amphisbaenian skull classically has been difficult to study due to its small size.
