Description

Louisiana Sulfur

Sulfur is an abundant chemical element.  Not only is it spelled SULFUR but it is also spelled SULPHUR in British English.  In addition to being used as sulfuric acid and fertilizers, it is equally important for use in matches, insecticides.   Furthermore, Sulfur is mentioned 15 times in the Bible, and was best known for destroying Sodom and Gomorrah.  Because of its distinctive smell, organosulfur is added to natural gas supplies so that gas leaks can be detected easily.
