- Placenticeras costatum Measures approximately 45cm. x 36cm (17 ¾” x 14”) and weighs 8 kg (17 1/2 pounds). Very bright and beautiful ammonite with very good shape. Displays reds, oranges, golds and greens with quite a lot of the rare blues on both sides. It has excellent colors throughout and displays marvelous ribbing.

Ammolite – A RARE gemstone material that forms on the outer shell of certain ammonites. It displays brilliant iridescent colors, much like opal or mother-of-pearl. Colors – Red and green are most common, but rare blues and purples are highly prized.
