Fossil Coeloma Crab Nodules from Denmark are found along the Limfjords coast in the Jutland region in Denmark. When conditions are just right after Winter or heavy rains, the gray, round nodules are exposed in the clay and collected. The nodules are then cracked open to see if there are any crabs inside. Only 1 out of 10 nodules will contain anything worth preparing. Then the painstaking task of preparation begins. The nodule must be placed back together and repaired. Then air scribes and air abrasives are used to prep the crabs. After MANY hours of preparation, the nodule is whole again with a beautiful crab inside! There is very little reconstruction on these crabs.
