Money Back Guarantee for an Incorrectly Described Item
If you receive a fossil that is materially different from the photographs or description of the item you ordered, please contact us promptly. Once the return is approved and the fossil is received by us in the same condition in which it was shipped, we will issue a full refund for that item.

Returns Because You Changed Your Mind
We understand that occasionally a customer may receive an item and decide that they simply do not like it. However, all returns require our approval before the item is shipped back.
If an approved return is based on personal preference rather than an error in the photographs or description, the buyer is responsible for insured return shipping. Once the item arrives in its original condition, we will refund the purchase price of the item only.

Prehistoric Fossils is not a fossil approval service. Therefore, we do not accept returns involving multiple items that were purchased so the buyer could select preferred specimens and return the remainder.
This policy helps protect our inventory from being used for temporary selection, resale evaluation, crafting projects, or similar purposes. For that reason, customers should carefully review each specimen before placing an order.
Return Approval and Seven-Day Return Period
All returns must receive prior approval from Prehistoric Fossils. In addition, approved returns must be sent back within 7 days of the buyer receiving the order.
Returned fossils must be securely packaged and must arrive in the same condition in which they were originally shipped. Preference-based returns must also be sent with insurance at the buyer’s expense.
